1. What This Policy Covers
This policy explains how Song Dog Spirits collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you sign up to receive email or text (SMS/MMS/RCS) messages from us (for marketing, transactional alerts, reminders, or other customer communications). It also explains your choices and rights under applicable law, including Maryland law.
2. Information We Collect and Why
When you subscribe to receive texts, we may collect:
Mobile phone number (required) — to send texts.
Name, email, and other contact info (optional) — to personalize messages.
Messaging metadata (time stamps, message content for troubleshooting, delivery status).
We process this information based on your prior express consent to send messages to your number. We use it to deliver messages you requested, provide customer service, send promotions (if you opted in), process opt-outs, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How to Opt In (Give Consent)
You give consent by any of the following methods:
Entering your email address or mobile number on our website or app that clearly states you agree to receive recurring email and text messages from Song Dog Spirits, DBA Song Dog Farm Distillery;
Texting a keyword to our short code or phone number; or
Providing your number at checkout, in-store, or over the phone, where you received a clear disclosure that you would receive email and/or text messages.
All opt-in flows will include clear disclosures of message frequency, that message & data rates may apply, and instructions on how to opt out. This business will retain records of your consent. These elements are required for carrier compliance and for prior express written consent for marketing communications.

To stop receiving messages at any time, text STOP. You will receive a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed.
Note: For promotional messaging programs, we will include opt-out instructions at regular intervals (at least once per month) and honor STOP requests immediately.
5. Marketing Messages and Prior Express Written Consent
If you receive marketing/promotional texts, you must have provided prior express written consent (this is required by federal and state telemarketing laws and carrier rules). You can revoke consent at any time by texting STOP or selecting the “unsubscribe” link, or contacting us.
6. Sharing and Service Providers
We share your mobile number and related information only as necessary to deliver the service (with messaging platforms, carriers, analytics, and fraud prevention providers) and when required by law. We require third-party providers to protect your data and only use it to perform services for us.
Customer data is not shared with 3rd parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain email and SMS data (including opt-in records and message logs) for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and for carrier monitoring/audit purposes. If you request deletion, we will remove or de-identify your personal data from active systems, except where retention is required by law or to preserve records of consent and opt-out for compliance.
8. Your Maryland Consumer Privacy Rights
If you are a Maryland resident, the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA) and related state laws may provide you with additional rights, including the right to:

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under the age of 16 for texting programs. If we become aware we have collected such data without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify subscribers by posting the updated policy and, when appropriate, by sending a message to your mobile number.
